Coiste na dTuismitheoirí I nGaelscoil Ultain

The Parents’ Association in Gaelscoil Ultain is a very active association, organising a number of events throughout the school year. The Parents’ Association is open to all parents in the school with meetings taking place on the first Monday of each month.

The role of the Gaelscoil Ultain Parents’ Association is to help out at a number of school events and secondly to raise funds to enhance the excellent learning experience the teachers offer our children in Gaelscoil Ultain.

We would be delighted to welcome new members onto the committee; it’s a wonderful opportunity to meet other parents and to get involved in the yearly events in the school.

The Parents Association organise many events

October Flag Day

At the end of October two flag days take place as a fundraiser to assist with the Christmas activities. The flag days receive wonderful support from parents and the local community.

Daidí na Nollaig visit to Gaelscoil Ultain

Each year the Parents’ Association organise a Santa visit to the school where all children in Gaelscoil Ultain and Naionra receive a very special present from Daidi na Nollaig.

School Project Evening in December

Refreshments are provided during the project evening.

January School Open Days

Refreshments provided and the opportunity for new parents to ask questions and speak with a parent representative on their experiences of Gaelscoil Ultain.

February Table Quiz

A Table Quiz is held each year which is generously supported by the local business community.

March Ceilí

Our annual Ceili takes place prior to St. Patricks Day in the Hillgrove Hotel. This event creates much excitement for the children and is a wonderful evening for parents and children to come along and enjoy some music and dance. A raffle and refreshments are provided during the evening.

May – First Communion

The children from Rang 2 and their families are invited back to Gaelscoil Ultain for refreshments after mass.

Annual School Draw

The annual school draw takes place in May with fantastic prizes to be won.
